Classroom Rules
1. Be prepared-come to class with necessary supplies and complete assignments
2. Be polite-raise your hand, refrain from talking at inappropriate times, stay in your seat
3. Be productive-use class time effectively, listen, follow directions
4. Be positive-attitude is a powerful tool
5. Be respectful-always be kind to others
Consequences:
If the expectations above are not followed (with some of the expectations there are several verbal warnings given before a mark is made in the book) a student receives a mark in the class discipline notebook.
1 check - WARNING
2 checks - LOSE/WALK 5 MINUTES OF RECESS
3 checks - LOSE/WALK 10 MINUTES OF RECESS; Parent Communication

CONSTRUCTIVE RESPONSE PROCEDURES
Whisper read the problem and put yourself in the problem.
1. List important information. (don't rewrite a paragraph write as you would a grocery list.)
2. Write the question in your own words. (what are you looking for?)
3. Make a diagram or picture.
4. Set up problem to solve and state your operation.
5. Complete answer and ask yourself, "Does this answer my question from #2?)
